The Poughkeepsie Tapes Movie Review

The Poughkeepsie Tapes Movie Review
So, I just got through watching The Poughkeepsie Tapes and I must say. This was one of the most realistic mind fucking movies I have ever seen. Its a false documentary based on a serial killer from Poughkeepsie and the tapings of his brutal crimes. This movie is truely in some way a masterpiece. Very much in a way the Blair Witch was rattling this movie brought about those same vibes. It details in some way (almost A and E documentary like) a serial killer and his progression. From beginning to well, no end. They have false interviews with everybody involved FBI, police, victims, the tapes of the murders, torture (which is particularly gory but, still rattling). A very unique surprise is the fact that no one seems to have been off limits. Rarely do we have a horror movie deal with murdering of children or a extreme plot in which a police officer is framed for the murders and the killer gets to now have one of his own victims die by the hands of the legal system. The interviews are pretty realistic. I will say the biggest and maybe the only draw back is a couple of the ladies playing FBI or policewomen were not great actors.
But, it a way this helped the realism of this movie. And as much as I will say I liked this movie because of its extreme uniqueness I won't see this again for a while. Because, I tend to steer toward horror movies that make me enjoy being scared. This made me want to never let anyone I care about out of my sight. And almost paranoid of everyday life. Some people may see this and think its just a cheap ripoff of a A and E documentary however, they I believe should have their movie watching card withdrawn from their hand and told to never watch another movie again. This movie will make a lot of people really think. And go what the fuck did I just watch. And more so. Wow. That was pretty fucked up. I get it 5 fucked up machetes out of 5. I would say buy it but, don't. Rent it. Watch it. And take a break. Your going to need it. Also, the director John Erick Dowdle I can not believe upon researching your films you did Quarantine. Now I understand why it was in the dark. Ashamed you went for too much realism in that movie.

Friday the 13th Part V Review
Friday the 13th A New Beginning Movie Review
I'm trying more and more to post some movie reviews so I can give my take on all my favorite and not so favorite movies. Here for me comes a real bittersweet movie for me. Bittersweet because by now. You know Jason Voorhees wasn't the killer in this movie and some ambulance driver was (worst idea since Greedo shooting first) however, it does continue the Tommy Jarvis storyline. We find ourselves with Tommy at a half way house of sorts for mentally challenged kids. Now, Tommy has been haunted by images of Jason since the whole dramatic I killed Jason moment of Friday 13th Final Chapter (one day review coming). Anyway, the premise was to give everybody some Friday the 13th but, since they killed ol' Jason off. Shit. We got to do something else. So after seeing his son hacked up a ambulance driver decides to kill a bunch kids using Jason's old MO. Well, yikes. talk about Jumping the Shark. or whatever. Anyway, kids getting hacked up left and right with a nice amount of nudity and gore. If there wasn't a Friday the 13th Movie Series to follow I might have dug the shit out of this. But, knowing this wasn't Jason left me with that flipping my sister feeling. Sure, she's got a great bag of goodies but, in the end there is something wrong with it. I give it 2 machetes out of 5. Which is so painful because this is my favorite horror series. Least Tommy Jarvis is back and that pretty much the reason it got an extra star instead of just one. Least Jason Lives was next....

Mirrors Review
Mirrors Movie Review - Starring Keifer Sutherland
Director: Alexandre Aja
Well, before we getting started I feel it fair to pronounce that I really don't care for supernatural horror movies. The Sixth Sense I won't ever review because frankly, I don't want to review something that I just had almost no interest in. Now let me preface this. In this case of the Mirrors movie I was fired up as Keifer Sutherland was involved in one of my favorite movies Young Guns and Young Guns 2 (Doc Shurlock) and one of my all time favorite shows 24. And I loved High Tension and The Hill Have Eyes (Remake). I thought both were brutal and raw horror movies. Both with its fair share of gore and violence. No holds barred brutality. Then it brings me to Mirrors. This was the story of a former police detective who has become a pill head and is living with his sister after being thrown out by his ex-wife. Anyway, ol' Jack. My Bad. Keifer needs a job so he becomes a overnight security guard at a fired gutted department store. So anyway, after working there for a couple nights he starts experiencing all these supernatural acts of mental trickery. And he becomes haunted. Worst of all the Mirrors can actually transfer out to other mirrors and began causing acts of terror on to any one that Keifer comes in contact with. Upon further review the mirrors has been possessed by demons. or something. Anyway, If your a fan of supernatural horror i'd say check it out. You will probably get a kick out of it. And definitely worth a rent but, not a buy for me. It had its moments including a kick ass bathtub scene. Amy Smart. wow. Anyway, I give it 2.5 machetes out 5. If you were a fan of Hills and Tension then prepare to be disappointed...... ;(

Top 5 Horror Sequels I want to see.
Top 5 Horror Sequels I want to see.
5) Saw VI - Ok, so I know we have this coming already but, shit its got to be better than Saw V. Though, everybody has been killed off that is worth a damn. Hopefully, some how Dr. Gordon will make his return. Saw films are supposed to raise our eyebrows at the end. And Saw V did nothing but, make mine frown.
4) Friday the 13th Part 2 - Ok, so I loved the relaunch from Platinum Dunes and as a major Jason Voorhees fan as long as they stay in the same premise as this last one. Staying with Derek Mears, staying with Jason behind quicker, sharper, more brutal. And they keep the strong male lead character. I am sorry but, as big of a fan I am of the original movies I got sick of seeing the chick at the end fighting Jason. Long live Tommy Jarvis.
3) Hostel 3 - Why you may ask? How about because Hostel 2 sucked? Hostel was so gory and hard. Then you give us Hostel 2. Fuck you.
2) Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 - Ok, no not the Beginning. Which I did like and found pretty interesting. I dig backstories. That being said. I want R Lee Ermey and his young one Leatherface to give us the further adventures. But, Platinum Dunes stick to the dirty raw formula you set for the first two you did. Please. No Next Generation shit.
1) Dawn of the Dead Part 2 - Zack Snyder. Jesus, please no body tell me that Steve Miner's shit called Day of the Dead was the sequel. Because I will shoot myself. And hell Miner has directed some of my favorite horror movies. But, I want Zack to come back and do a proper sequel to the baddest horror zombie movie ever. Slap us in the face again. Please.
5) Saw VI - Ok, so I know we have this coming already but, shit its got to be better than Saw V. Though, everybody has been killed off that is worth a damn. The Top 5 Most Overrated Horror Movies Ever

Ok, so I have to tell you. I about to venture in to a realm of opinion that seems to be forbidden ground with horror movies. Some of the "supposed classics". And everybody and their love of the "originals". Great. Ok, well, in most cases there are reasons to believe that the classics are classics. And maybe in the cases of some of the movies I am about rant on we can say the fact that I didn't see them when they "originally" came out just due to age. And I saw most of these in the 80's. or Early 80's. And some just recently. Top 5 most overrated horror movies I've ever seen. This is strictly a bias opinion.
5) The original Last House on the Left - Hmmm. It was directed by the great Wes Craven. Ok. What does that mean? Wes Craven's best movies are The original Hills Have Eyes, Dracula 2000 (yes, i said that shit), Scream. and um' Cursed. Wait. No. Not Cursed (a truely terrible movie). Some might say Nightmare on Elm Street but, I wasn't a big Freddy fan. But, it didn't make my list. So Nightmare fans breath easy. This movie was supposed to have been I guess shocking for its time. Because two young girls get kidnapped, raped, beaten, and killed by some convicts. Now, maybe because of its time released this was all true. But, its what most of this list is all about. It doesn't stand the test of time. This movie is no longer even remotely shocking. Hostel? Hostel 2? The Hills Have Eyes Remake? High Tension? WTF. I remember seeing this movie and thinking after it was over wait? Something else was bound to happen. Cause, where's this payoff? Nothing....
4) The Sixth Sense - Oh, hell. M Night Shyamalan. One of the world's greatest hit or miss directors. Now, I will tell you. I'm not a supernatural horror fan. But, the fact that this movie came out basically around the same time as a movie called Stir of Echoes (which was god damn excellent starring Kevin Bacon) however, nobody talks about it. Drives me INSANE. This movie was not frightening. Did not make me think. Wonder. M Night has made two of the worst horror films ever. The Village (which to this day is possibly the worst movie I've ever saw) and The Sixth Sense but, yet made some such a beautiful masterpiece like Unbreakable is beyond me. Stir of Echoes had a creepier house. A unreal performance by Mr. Bacon going bananas. And a finger nail breaking that made every body go "god ****".
3) Halloween III: Season of the Witch - You may be thinking "wait everybody knows this sucks". Nope. Not everybody. There seems to be a ever growing legion of people that love this fucking Halloween III shit. And thats what it is shit. Complete with its Silver Shamrock Commerical and creeping bullshit singing. People are like "its just different". Damn right its different. Where the hell is Michael Myers? Shit, its a Halloween movie for shit sakes. I swear. Jump the shark. Wow. Thank god for Halloween 4: The RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS. Get it. Halloween. Michael Myers. H3 was a POS. End of Story.
2) I Spit On Your Grave - This movie was actually not that bad. It has rape, violence, etc. However, again by today's standards this is no longer shocking. So it does not stand the test of time. They raped this woman silly. Which is wrong. But, the rape in the movie with Jodie Foster was a helluva lot more believable and brutal to me. And stands with me more than the ones in this movie ever will. Neither are right. But, in today's standards. It does not hold up as shocking.
1) The Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Wow. This one will get the hounds called out on me. Yes, Chainsaw. And I will say Chainsaw is still better than most of the bs direct to dvd shit that is released today. But, this is supposed to be a classic in terms of cannibals, crazy redneck families, and a chain welding Leatherface. You know this is a decent flick even now. But, I still enjoy TCM 2 and most definitely the remake from Platinum Dunes a 1,000 times better. Maybe, because this suffers from the infamous shocking in the 70's isn't shocking in this era of horror. The remake was strong brutal, raw, gory fucking masterpiece. Not only is Leatherface a beast but, R Lee Ermey is a fucking nut bag legend as that sheriff. The original TCM looks old to me. And in some parts just drags. Sorry horror fans. But, thats the truth.
The Burning Review

The Burning Movie Review
Ok, so call me last person to show for the party. But, the old lady and me watched the Burning last night after receiving it from Netflix. Now, to for warn anybody that visits this site (which is starting to be quite a few) I have to tell you. I'm a fan of slasher flicks. I almost feel it unfair that I ever review a movie like Mirrors (Keifer Sutherland) or The Grudge (Sarah Michelle Gellar) because honestly I don't care for supernatural horror very much. The last movie I can say I liked was Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon. Anyway, back to the Burning. First, I could not believe how similar this movie and Friday the 13th Part 2 were in some ways. It had a camp fire scene complete with guy telling story about killer and the jokster jumping out for a goofy scare. A camp. with counselors. Killer etc. wow. couldn't believe it. Also notable is several future stars of TV and Movies. Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Holly Hunter (Raising Arizona), and Fisher Stevens (Short Circuit 1 and 2) all had roles in this movie. Also its famous for raft kill scene which was pretty damn brutal for a film made in 81. Tom Savini (Friday 13th, Friday Part 4) did the effects in this movie which made them better than decent for this time period. Although, it was seemed a little too campy in some parts. Which had almost a Meatballs feel. It was a good little slasher flick. If you like the Friday movies you will get a kick out of this. Don't expect the seriousness of the first two Friday movies. Think a very loose version of Friday. But, definitely rent it and watch it with some one that likes horror movies. And you will probably have plenty of conversation about it. 2.5 out of 5 machetes.
Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers Review
Halloween Curse of Michael Myers Review
Ok, so i'm setting around in a theater in like 1996 when a trailer came on for Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers. All of a sudden i'm fired the hell up because I'd never seen a Halloween movie on the big screen. lets face it. quite alot of time went by between Halloween 5 and 6. So here was my opportunity. I would like to say this. To me. This is a highly underrated Halloween movie. It stars in his movie debut Paul Rudd (who to this day is one of my fav actors) and it marked the end of the road for a film legend Donald Pleasance. Pleasance died as filming ended if I understand correctly. Paul Rudd plays Tommy Doyle the kid that ran in to Michael Myers during Halloween while carrying a pumpkin and of course while Laurie Strode was getting nearly killed by Mikey. Anyway, this continued to explore the Thorn plot line, answered the question of the mystery man that broke Myers out of jail at the end of Halloween 5 and saw the end of a great character named Jamie Lloyd. Although, her ending was more of a side note and I thought should've either been skipped or worked around. I figure we all got some way of rating these movies. I'll give it 3.5 out 5 machete blades. lol... its better than 5 and 3. hell. better than H20 and Resurrection. oh wait. also it spawned thousands of horror fans spending time on ebay for bootlegs of the producer's cut. Which in my opinion no way as good as the regular cut but, most fans tend to think the producer's cut is the better flick. Anyway, if you haven't seen it. Go rent or buy it. The first 20 mins are decent. But, the last 20 minutes are flat great. Including Tommy Doyle making us recall visions of Tommy Jarvis in Friday Part 4 going ape shit on Myers' ass.

Dawn of the Dead Remake Review and Trailer
Dawn Of The Dead (Remake) Movie Review
Ok, here we are again for another horror movie review. This time the directorial debut of one Zack Snyder. The director that would go on to director two monster hits in 300 and Watchmen. And frankly this movie made a cool $102 million and was a real horror smash. It stars the great Ving Rhames, Sarah Polley, Jake Weber, and a really cool performance from Michael Kelly as everybodies favorite redneck asshole turned bad ass good guy before its all said and done. Now, the thing I loved about this movie is it took zombies and just put them steriods basically. They were fast moving hateful fucks in which there was no escape. It also has one of the best openings with a little girl being scary as fuck trying to eat Sarah Polley and her boyfriend. And you remember the scene where she leaps back to her feet and rushes the door. Damn. Zack really made a point to development some characters you really wanted to see live and some you couldn't wait to see die. Mix in some of the best gore of any damn movie in a long time (especially when it came out). And you had a remake that really fucking worked and basically along with 28 Days Later launched the re-birth of the zombie horror world. Throw in cameos from the original Dawn from Ken Foree and Tom Savini and this movie oozed with coolness. Not to mention one serious soundtrack with Johnny Cash and Disturbed. Not to mention the lounge hotel music of Down with the Sickness. This made this is a serious winner with me. Its a must own for any horror fan and one of my top 20 favorite horror movies of all time. And wait till the birthing scene. Oh yeah a real oh fuck moment in movie history. 5 out of 5 machetes. Enjoy this masterpiece of horror goodness.

The Two Best Great David Carradine Scenes
1)Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 - Yes, I understand this is two newer movies but, lets face it. The Kill Bill saga for genre fans was a breath of fresh air. It was unique. And Carradine was a very unique character. In the fact that he was a assassin but, a loving father. Who still loved the bride. But, felt so betrayed that he tried to murder her. Carrendine delivered lines with precision. And bowed wonderfully at the end. You felt happy that the bride got her revenge. But, sad that it had to come to that. A very likable assassin indeed. And that superman speech was supreme and fantastic.
2)Lone Wolf McQuade - This movie has two places in my heart. One for making me a massive Chuck Norris and David Carradine fan. And for having one of the most bad ass fights at the end of any movie. People do not realize that Lone Wolf debut number 1 at the box office in 1983. And that both Carradine and Norris refused to use stunt doubles for the fight even though producers begged them to do so.
RIP David Carradine. You will be missed by many many people.

28 Weeks Later Review

28 Weeks Later Movie Review
Ok, so I have been wanting to do the review for 28 Days and Weeks Later for quite some time and just haven't had the time to do it. And I figured since I was off I'd sit down. Watch' em both again and give my take. Now, I'll start with 28 Weeks Later just because its the one I grabbed first and popped in. It starts out during the time span of the first one with a group of people thats posted themselves up in hiding in a farmhouse. Nice and quite and living some what well under the conditions and circumstances. Now, this one is produced but, not directed by Danny Boyle. Its directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo which did a great job in this movie of keeping some elements of the first one which was a very raw feel in certain areas but, in some spots giving it a slicker feel. Robert Carlyle and his wife Catherine McCormack are the owners of the farmhouse in which they have a little boy show up. This little boy of course is trying to hide from the infected. Which now know there are people in the house. And that of course where this all falls apart. During the events Carlyle jumps ship and heads down river in a tremendous and gory opening sequence. Then we flash forward "28 weeks later". All is being rebuilt and citizens are being brought back in to a warzone type living situation where the US service have taken up post in a effort to keep things normal. Well, the kids of Robert Carlyle come in to join their dad and like normal kids go explore in areas they shouldn't and find their mom is still alive. Which when you watch the film you will understand what I mean. All hell later breaks loose as somebody becomes infected and the army has locked everybody in to a room to shelter them while they get control only an infected gets in to the room and infects them and they all pour out over the town. This time a doctor discovers the boy may be key to a possible cure and decides to shelter him and a US sniper setups to assist the 3 in an escape. Well, over the course of trying to exit to a safe location many members of their party drop get killed etc. Now, some will argue that this is not as good as the first. But, my feeling is its as good. There is a some great gore. Jeremy Renner is excellent in his role as the sniper and Robert Carlyle is a sob. But, some how a likable sob. It does lack the acting power of its original. There is no replacing Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, and the highly underappreciated Christopher Eccleston. And the best part of the sequel is the ending. I believe which gives you a glimpse of the things to come. I give it 5 out of 5 machetes. A must own for horror, zombie fans.

Saw V Movie Reviews

Saw V Movie Review
Ok, we're going to start this review by saying i'm not one of these dudes that think having multiple sequels to a franchise is bad. I don't. Hell, I liked all of the Halloween movies (cept' III) and all of the Friday's (even kinda 5). That being said. Comes Saw 5 or Saw V. Depending on what day of the month it is. This movie stars (Costas Mandylor), who has all of a sudden resurrected what was going to be a promising career. Tobin Bell returns as Jigsaw. Who is deader than shit but, is back in flashback form. Now there is a phase called "jumping the shark". Well, damn. I will say. I loved Saw 1 thru 3. and I liked Saw 4 pretty well. However, Saw 5 just couldn't hang in with me. Number one. You've killed off Jigsaw. Which is ok. Cept' you've killed off every other character any one cares about. I will say I really liked the aspect between Costas and Agent Peter Strahm (Scott Patterson). And I feel its important to have some one to root to live in these movies. But, I'm not sure I can take it any more. Elwes, Glover, Patterson, Walhberg are all dead. Fuck it. I was hoping some damn body would live. Anyway, I found the dialog between the group of trap mongers to be flat at best. The traps got more and more boring. And maybe its finally run its course. Don't get me wrong. I'll watch the 6th one as soon as it comes out. But, I was missing Darren Lynn Bousman direction as this one seemed a little to scattered around and unorganized. Anyway, you will be forced to buy it. Just like i was forced to buy it because who wants to say they own Saw 1-4.... really? but, if you don't buy these as part of a collection or you don't plan on letting this thing grow on you. I'd say rent this one. Don't get me wrong. There are many other worse horror movies out there. Mirrors wasn't great.... and it could be worse. it could be Halloween 3. I give this one 2 out 5 machetes.

Terminator Salvation Movie Review

Ok, so now I get to review one of my most anticipated movies in a long time. I like anything that gives me the feeling of old school times. Friday the 13th, Batman, Starwars, etc. The Terminator film series is one that I hold near and dear to my heart. Well, that leads us to the newest Terminator entry called Terminator Salvation. We have Christian Bale as John Connor, Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright, and Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese. Now, I was worried about how Reese and Connor would be portrayed. When I tell you that Yelchin is spot on to Michael Biehn's character its almost scary. Facial expressions, movements, and laying dialog is dead on. And Bale delivers his usual strong commanding performance. I've read some reviews regarding Bale seeming too hard for this role. Really? How is the leader of the resistance supposed to act. Sam Worthington is quickly marching his way to being the next big thing. Hard to believe this guy had a bit part in the croc thriller "Rogue" course, hell he stole the scenes he was in even in that. Now there are plenty of nods toward the previous films and it stays true to the story line of the 3 other movies. But, folks this is not your normal popcorn Terminator movie. The general feel of this movie is of a very realistic raw environment that has been destroyed. The characters are complex and deep. And there are several fan boy nods to make any Terminator fan happy. I won't ruin it for you by spoilers but, this movie should get a best picture nomination even though these movies never do. It was a real epic movie with larger than life effects but, it was more realistic that some of the previous Terminators if you ask me. This will be a must own on dvd and hell I may go see it again on the big screen. So far. Its the best movie of the year. And honestly and it may seem insane but, I consider this movie to be the gem of the Terminator series. The effects are grand but, some how come across as being raw and gritty. You feel real emotion from the characters. I give this movie 5 out of 5 machetes.
Halloween (2007) Movie Review

Ok, ok, ok. I will get killed on this post for this. but, i don't give a rats ass. I loved this reimaging of Halloween from Rob Zombie. First, of all i will admit i'm kinda a sucker for Zombie. I dug House of 1000 Corpes and The Devil's Rejects. I like seeing the same characters actors in movies. I was stoked that Ken Foree got in this picture. I absolutely loved the aspect of Michael Myers getting a back story. I liked the white trash kid and abusive family aspect. I'm a very big fan of backstories so shoot me. Rob gave Halloween a raw edgy feel that its been desparately needing. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the previous movies and their always good for a watch but, this hits you in the fucking mouth. It was tremendous to have malcolm macdowell as Dr. Loomis and to see the return of Danielle Harris to a large feature flick was very cool. Rob did not stray too far from the original once Michael ends up back in Haddonfield. Like i said i was big on this picture's back story. I continue to be baffled that fans hammer Rob for this movie. I sometimes wonder if they are even watching the same movie. This movie is raw, dirty, ugly and exactly what this franchise needed. I also like Michael being played by Tyler Mane. He added a very Jason Voorhees quality to Michael in order to bring back a freight train feeling Michael needed. I give this movie 4 machetes out of 5. Michael Myers
Friday the 13th Part VI Jason Lives Movie Review

Friday the 13th Part 6 - Jason Lives
this is my first movie review and its on my favorite horror movie of all time. Yeah, Yeah, I know people are going ooooh. the Exorcist... Oh Blair Witch (which i liked and wait til i get to that review)... oh blah blah blah. I consider this one of the best slasher flicks of all time. interesting story behind this movie. I first saw it when i was 10 on Xmas eve at my uncle's house. everybody else was in the kitchen and him and me sat on the coach and watched this. it was unlike anything i can remember seeing. The movie marks the return of Jason Voorhees that had been killed by Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th the Final Chapter. and interestingly enough Jason was dead. I mean dead and buried. No returning. Well, enter Tommy Jarvis the hero from the previous two Fridays. As we know from A New Beginning Tommy is being haunted by visions on Jason. So he decides upon leaving the nut house he will go dig up Jason and burn the body. Which is great in theory. but, could you pick a night where it wasn't storming? The opening of this movie is great. And features Jason walking out and slashing the screen like James Bond. Personally, I liked Thom Mathews as Tommy Jarvis. He was strong, had good facial expressions, and added some humor. There were some great deaths in this movie - the knife thru the side of the head which a guy was driving a motor home and Jason busting the door off of it and standing on top. Which has become a infamous scene in the serious. In fact its the Wallpaper for my Jason Voorhees tribute site Jason Voorhees. It also lets us know Jason will not harm children although he's very curious about them. This also marks the movie where Jason became more apart of the undead unstopping terminator we got the following films. Jason twists a girls head off and he literally folds a cop in half. also this movie had a great ending that builds up. I will continue to say if they decide to ever Kill Jason for good Tommy Jarvis has to be the one to do it. I give it 5 Machetes out of 5.
Play Misty For Me Movie Review

Play Misty For Me Movie Review
So, one the things we're trying to at the Horror Hideout is I am trying to catch up on some old school movies and review them. I did the Burning the other day. Now play Misty for me. For any one that doesn't know Play Misty For Me was directed by Clint Eastwood and starred Clint Eastwood, Jessica Walter, and Donna Mills. Clint Eastwood plays a radio DJ named Dave Garver who is essentially a player but, still loves a ex-girlfriend named Tobie who had left but, recently returned. Well, anyway right before she returns he meets a fan in a bar who had been calling in to the station to request "Play Misty For Me". He has a bit of a hit and quit it with this gal and she becomes obsessed. Now as alot of our readers have read I am more of a slasher flick kinda horror guy more than a supernatural guy. I will say Clint has a winner here and I know why its considered a classic. Now anybody that liked Fatal Attraction should really like this movie. I liked it better than Fatal Attraction.
Jessica Walter is a full blown psycho that won't get the hint when Clint tries to rekindle his love for his ex Tobie. Jessica begans a torrid right turn straight to nut bag. Stalking, and just showing up at places. Being jealous and writing out Luv you's in lip stick on his bedroom mirror. And she then follows the international nutty bitch playbook by trying to kill herself to keep his attention. Now, this is not a horror movie exactly but, there are definite aspects of slasher flick with this movie with a couple pop up on you scares. Eastwood would show early on his cinematic skills with direction. With a wonderful setup leading to a finale you can see coming a mile away and of course Eastwood would show off that famous punch of his he had in the Every Which Way But Loose series from the 70's. So if you haven't seen this. Go to Blockbuster or Netflix and order it. Its definitely worth the watch. I give Play Misty For Me 3.5 machetes out of 5.
